Club Waimea is home to over 14 sporting sections and special interest groups, with something for everyone — from bowls and golf to cards, dancing and music. Browse the activities below and get in touch with the relevant section contact to join in.
Cards
Our card section meets every Fridays at 12.45 pm, and plays Euchre.
It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or haven’t tried your hand at cards for a while, there are experienced members who can teach you.

Gaming Room
Club Waimea is proud to offer you an 18 Machine Gaming Room, having a good mixture of old favourites along with eight of the latest machines, with continual upgrading being a priority.

Whether you are looking for serious competition or just a fun, social night out, Club Waimea’s vibrant pool section has something for everyone.
Our pool area features four high-quality Pot Black competition-grade tables. For your convenience, table lights can be operated easily via Paywave.
Regular Season Competitions
Our official season kicks off every April and runs through June, featuring:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Nights: Premier, A, and B-grade singles matches.
- Thursday Nights (from June): The excitement heats up with the start of the Premiership Cup!
Offseason Social Pool
Keep your skills sharp and have some fun during the offseason!
- When: Tuesday nights (registration closes at 6:45 PM).
- Cost: Just $2 to entry.
- The Prize: The winner takes home half of the total entry fees collected!
Championships & Representative Play
We are an active group with plenty of opportunities to test your skills:
- Club Championships: Hosted on Saturdays throughout the year.
- Inter-Club Tournaments: We compete annually against Buller and Westland, and our experienced members regularly travel to Clubs NZ tournaments across the country.
All Club Waimea members are welcome! Come on down, meet the group, and line up a shot.

We meet every Wednesday night at 6.00 pm. Sioux Line Dance has started a new intake of beginner line dancers. This class is coming along nicely. If anyone would like to come along and join in now is the time. New dancers are always welcome.
